My painting

Ok, let's start with chapter 1. I did a painting. I really love painting. Mum painted my foot. It was fun but cold and sloppy.

Seven teeth now gone

Ok lets start with this. This morning I was  listening to my teacher on her spotty mat and what do you know? My tooth came out! To make it come out a boy called Brock told me to twist it and then it came out. And I had to go to dance two times! :-)

My big day

Today I went to school and had a big day! The first part was after the roll there was a  soccer clinic. The next part was that  I did a dance program called Footsteps. What happens in Footsteps might you ask? Well, alllllllllll of  Year one gets together and learns a dance. The teacher's name is Steph. This week  we were just revising. At lunch  I did even more dancing because I am in dance group:-)

Samurai power

Today I made something called a samuraiser. I think it is the most powerful one. And Antoneo is the owner of it. Antoneo is the gold ranger. And only Power Rangers can use it. First I got a rectangle piece of paper then I coloured the top in lead pencil. Next I put numbers from one to ten. Finally I made speakers :-)

Today I stayed at home. Then me and Dad went to Owl Park for a bike ride.

Boinging birthday party

Today I went to a birthday party at Boing Central, which is an indoor trampolining arena. I ate two lunches - one at home and one at the party. I had chips for lunch at Boing Central. It was an icecream cake for the birthday cake. The party was really, really, really fun. I loved the games that we played. There was one game that I'd never played before and it was really fun. It was called Crack the Egg :-)

The awesome day

Today my dance group from John Palmer public School had auditions for the Ridges festival. our dance is called Rock It! And we got in. I thought there was only one group that gets in and I was very releved. I really love the dance that we learn.

Afternoon tea

This afternoon I made a smoothie with banana, strawberries, seeds to make it extra healthy, and some honey. And we tried it and it was yummy. And my big brother, Thomas, he drank it so, so quickly because he loved it. And I tried it and I also thought it was yummy - Blake - that's me called Blake. And also Mummy tried it and she though it was lovely too.

The sleepover

On Saturday my cousin and my Nanny and Poppy had a sleepover at my house. After my soccer game they came over because it was my cousin's birthday party. It was REALLY REALLY FUN! Me and my brother had rice pops for breakfast and I liked them so much. :-)

On Saturday I went to soccer. It was Ponds vs Newbury. I play for the Ponds. And we won! I really really like soccer. A boy called mattheus got player of the week :-)

Hippopothomas

For news this week we had to come up with a imaginary animal. We had to talk about what it looks like, what it eats, and where it lives (-: My animal is called the hippopothomas.

On Wednesday it was my mums birthday so we went to Vivid. First we went for a walk then we saw some excellent lights. First we saw Customs House and it was AWESOME! There was a funny part where there were gnomes and a bit where the gnomes went crazy. After that a gnome went on a helicopter rocket and went SPLAT on Customs House! It was 100% so funny then we walked...walked...and walked and me and my brother had our light fans on :-)

Sausage plant study

They start as sausage plants. We missed a photo in April of them as potato plants. Usually fairy floss comes next but in May we had a big storm so the drowned rabbits came sooner than normal. We'll try and get a photo of fairy floss plants next April or May.

Life cycle of a bullrush

The first stage of a bullrush is a seed. The seed is very small I imagine. The second stage is a sausage-like plant. The third stage is when the sausage part turns a bit furry in the autumn/winter. The final stage is when the furry part dissolves. I hope you enjoyed this explanation :-)

Every month this year we've taken a photo of the bullrush plants near our house, to see how they change. Tomorrow I'll share the photos.

Making apricot balls

Today me and my Mum made apricot balls together.
 

It's a messy job!

 First we put almonds in, then we put orange juice in, then we put dried up apricots in, then we had to mix it up and then we tipped it out of the Thermomix into a silver bowl, then we used our fingers to roll it into a ball and then we put them into a box with coconut in it, then when we finished I shook it around so the coconut could go all over them. Then we ate some.

Chopping almonds is noisy!
